I became aware of Ed Ames as a singer quite some time ago (decades) and had little opportunity to collect his music, but now that I can follow up on his work, I am quite pleased to see how many songs are "my favorites," his voice and rendition was so good the music stood up through time. Their strengths are gentle, sensitive, compassionate, amiable, modest, and merciful.
